Luka Doncic took the next step to advance his brand's image and take it to new heights. On Thursday, the Lakers star created an account on Bilibili, opening himself up to more than a billion people and millions of hoops fans in China.
As part of this grand move, Doncic was asked a couple of questions by Chinese content creators on Bilibili. One person asked the Lakers star to name a current or former player's signature move that he wants the most.

In his answer, Doncic named Dirk Nowitzki and his signature fadeaway jumper. Basketball is a highly respected and loved game in China, and creating a Bilibili account gives the Lakers star a direct way to market himself and his brand to the Chinese basketball community and his fans there.

China remains one of the top locations in the world for players who do make it to the NBA or have played through their prime to carry on hooping at a professional level. Last year, during the same time, Luka Doncic visited China on a Jordan Brand tour.
He was accompanied by other Jordan brand athletes, including Jayson Tatum and Williamson. The group visited the Great Wall of China and interacted with the fans in Beijing.
Jalen Brunson was shocked at Luka Doncic's $165 million extension with the Lakers
Earlier this month, Luka Doncic signed a $165 million max extension with the LA Lakers. This move cemented Doncic as the purple and gold's face for the next three years.
However, Jalen Brunson was left shocked by the amount Doncic received in his extension. The Knicks star voiced his opinion on the subject in Friday's episode of the "Roommates Show."
"When I saw it, I was like, ‘Damn, is that the most he could have got?' It seemed low, but then I realized he got traded and I don’t think he could get the max or whatever," Brunson said. (23:43)
Josh Hart, Brunson's teammate and co-host on the podcast, jumped in the conversation to clear Brunson's confusion. He explained that Luka Doncic was eligible to get a $317 million five-year contract if the Mavs had not traded him.
However, since Dallas traded him away, the now-Lakers star was only eligible for a four-year, $220 million contract or less. Doncic is currently playing for Slovenia in the FIBA EuroBasket tournament and is expected to return in time for the Lakers' pre-season camp.
