Luka Doncic's historic effort has Shannon Sharpe in awe, terms it "unbelievable"

Luka Doncic pulled off what can only be a miraculous win against the New York Knicks on Tuesday, making history in the process.

Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to score 60 points, 20-plus rebounds, and 10-plus assists in a game, as he posted 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists on an unbelievable 67.7 percent from the field.

At 23 years of age, Doncic broke several franchise records last night. Until Tuesday, the NBA had seen 50-point and 20-rebound triple-doubles posted by Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor, but nothing like what Luka did.

On FS1's Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe heaped praise on Doncic for his historical performance, stating:

"If I had one thousand tongues, I couldn’t say how impressive this was enough. We’ve never seen anything like it before.

"James Harden had a 60-point triple-double, but you're talking about a six-foot-7 guard, goes and gets you 60 (points), 20 (rebounds), and he did it an efficient manner. "

"And he did it in a non-blowout, they [Mavericks] needed every point he [Luka Doncic] gave you in the sixty-piece. It was unbelievable. We've seen guys get numbers, Jordan had 63 ... but they lost. Devin Booker had 70, they lost."

The New York Knicks found themselves on the wrong side of what could easily be deemed one of the worst regular-season losses in NBA history.

With 44.6 seconds left on the game clock, the Knicks were up by nine points, and by the end of regulation, Luka Doncic had forced overtime.

It started with Dallas calling a timeout to push the ball into the halfcourt, with Dinwiddie throwing the ball to Doncic in the low post, defended by Quentin Grimes. Doncic quickly completed a layup.

Mavs employed a full-court press as the Knicks took the ball out and fouled Miles McBride, who threw down two foul shots, bringing the lead back up to nine.

With 33.9 on the clock, Christian Wood brought the ball up the floor and knocked down a three-pointer. As the Knicks took the ball out, the Mavs double-teamed Miles McBride to force a jump ball.

Luka Doncic won the tip, Mavs regained possession, Hardaway attempted a three, Luka rebounded, dropped a floater, drew a foul, and completed the three-point play. The nine-point lead was cut down to three in about 20 seconds.

After the Knicks took the ball out on the sidelines, the Mavs fouled McBride again. However, Miles only made one of his two free throws. The Mavs pushed the ball into the halfcourt again through a timeout, and Spencer Dinwiddie sunk a clutch three-pointer to bring the lead down to one point.

Miles McBride was once again fouled and made both of his free throws. Doncic brought the ball up and was fouled on the floor. The bonus made it so that he attempted two free throws.

Doncic made the first, intentionally missed the second, snatched the rebound from two Knicks, and dropped a floater.

In 44.6 seconds, the Mavericks outscored the Knicks 14-5 to tie the game. In overtime, Dallas again outscored New York 11-6.
