Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics are facing each other in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference opening round of the NBA playoffs at the TD Garden. This will be the rematch of the Celtics against the Heat who eliminated them in the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
The Celtics are the clear favorites to win the series with their stronger roster. However, the Heat have shown in the past that they can win crucial series against any team.
However, the absence of Jimmy Butler from the Heat roster can become one of the deciding factors for the series. Butler sprained his MCL during the Play-In game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Celtics on the other hand have a healthy roster with All-Star-level players like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis. On the defensive end, the Celtics are led by Jrue Holiday, one of the best defensive players in the league.

The Heat played their second Play-In game against the Chicago Bulls and defeated the Bulls by 21 points. Despite the absence of Butler, the Heat looked unstoppable. It was during the Bulls game that the Heat fans chanted, "We want Celtics."
At the end of the first quarter, the Celtics were leading the game by 21-26, a testament to the suffocating defense of the Heat. However, the Celtics came back heavy in the second quarter to extend the lead to 17 points.
Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo were the highlights for their respective teams, in terms of scoring. Tatum ended the second quarter with 15 points and Adebayo with 14 points. Tatum also had game game-high 6 assists by halftime.
