Despite the Milwaukee Bucks getting blown out by 41 points by Memphis on Thursday night, Bucks center Bobby Portis still caught fans' attention. During the third quarter, with the game already well out of reach for Milwaukee, Portis took out his frustration on the Grizzlies' forward Santi Aldama. Portis reached around the back of Aldama and clawed at his shoulder, leading to a very prominent scratch that could be seen on the broadcast.

The scratch quickly went viral on NBA Twitter, with fans reacting to the play and sharing their opinions on whether or not it was dirty.

On that note, here are some of the best fan reactions to the incident.

Many NBA fans who saw Bobby Portis’ claw-like scratch immediately started making jokes comparing him to the Black Panther and Wolverine.

“Bobby went BLACK PANTHER MODE 👀,” one fan said.

“Bro turned into the wolverine 😭😭,” another fan said.

“When you are down 40 there is no need to try some Wakanda Forever shit,” another said.

Many fans also said that Portis needs to cut his fingernails.

“Should be a rule that you have to cut your fingernails…🤮,” one fan said in disgust.

“Why do n****s never cut their damn nails, the amount of times I’ve been scratched hooping is grounds for fighting imo,” another fan said.

“Some advice who wanna get Christmas gift for Bobby ! You welcome🤗,” another captioned a picture of nail clippers.

Some fans straight-up thought it was a dirty play by Portis.

“The dude was clearly trying to hurt him. The ball was nowhere near his back. Lol,” one fan said.

“Suspend him immediately,” another fan said.

“Bad look for the Bucks all around, this blowout really hurt their feelings.” another said.

Following the loss, Milwaukee fell to 20-8 and is second in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Memphis moved into first place in the Western Conference with a 19-9 record.

The Bucks’ next game will be against Utah on Saturday. It remains to be seen if Bobby Portis will receive any discipline from the league by then.
