NBA insider Shams Charania appeared on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams Show" on Thursday. With the episode airing on Halloween’s Eve, the topic digressed to “favorite Halloween candies.” Adams asked Charania what he considers the best candies for the occasion.
Charania thought about his answer as Adams told him he would be “harshly judged” for his choices. The ESPN analyst responded that Almond Joy, Twix and the Almond Snickers were the top three on his list. Adams responded that they “never would’ve worked out” based on Charania’s preferred candies for Halloween.
Fans on X, formerly Twitter, promptly responded to the exchange:

Real Simple ranked the most popular candies Americans buy on Oct. 31. The list from the top 5 included Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, M&Ms, Snickers, Peanut M&Ms and Twix. The next five consisted of Kit Kat, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, Milky Way, Sour Patch Kids and Skittles.
Twix is the only one in the top 10 among Shams Charania’s choices. The disappointment in Adams’ face was quite hilarious when the analyst named his favorite Halloween candies.
Charania and Kay Adams are from Chicago, Illinois. Based on the same report, M&Ms is the “unique” choice from the state while Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the overwhelming favorites.
Kay Adams didn’t know Shams Charania was a guest in her show on Hallow’s Eve
Kay Adams talked about her chats with Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant on the "Up & Adams" show when the surprise bell sounded. She seemingly almost panicked as she didn’t know she was supposed to have a guest on her show. The mysterious guest greeted her with “Trick or Treat” before showing his face.
Shams Charania came on wearing a “Men in Black” suit. Adams covered her face when she realized it was the ESPN senior NBA insider.
Before Charania could start, Adams informed him they were on a “full-on fight,” an issue he said he did not know of. From there, the host enjoyed giving her surprise guest a challenging evening that included the Halloween favorite cake exchange.
