However, James has also accumulated a number of doubters and critics along the way. Via Instagram, an NBA fan posted a video, which was reposted by "playmakerhoops," in which the fan called out James, saying "Hey LeBron you're a big baby." In response, the Lakers star went on to simply emit a child-like cry, similar to a baby.

NBA fans found LeBron James' response hilarious. Instead of saying something humiliating to the fan, the Lakers forward simply went the comedic route.

At this stage in James' career, fan interactions or even heckling is nothing new. With the number of accomplishments he has made throughout his career, it makes sense for him to be the bigger person when it comes to this kind of situation.

LeBron James on fans telling him to play the game

During the 2021-22 season, the Lakers lost 116-108 to the Pelicans, further continuing their troubling season. Despite the loss, James still put up 39 points (14-of-27 shooting, including 7-of-13 from 3-point range), 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

In the game, the player got into it with a number of Lakers fans, which he ended up talking about in a postgame interview, as per a Sky Sports article by Stuart Hodge.

"If you follow my career, I will get into it with a fan," James said, "so that wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me. No matter if it's a home crowd or someone on the opposing side. If you're cheering or booing it's still fine, but this guy was literally telling me how to play basketball."

"So that's why you got the response, you seen me respond to it," James added. "So that was all that was, you can't tell me how to play basketball -- not him, not that guy!"

For someone who has accomplished so much, LeBron James remains headstrong in his basketball capabilities. From his point of view, it doesn't make sense for a fan to argue or even tell him how to play his game. This makes sense coming from a 19-time all-star who has won four NBA championships and four MVP awards.

Be that as it may, James also mentioned that cheering or booing is fine, with the exception of fans telling him what to do.
