NBA fans stunned as Mike Brown channels inner Nikola Jokic after charging at the ref - "Same ref that Jokic went crazy at"

Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown was a picture of rage after he went ballistic at an official for not calling a foul on a driving Colby Jones during the Kings vs Brooklyn Nets clash at the Golden 1 Center on Sunday. The sequence saw Brown having to be held by the team and the coaching staff as he charged at the referee.

Tweets on social media also revealed that it was the same official who Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets earlier got into an argument with. The big was enraged over a no-foul call which the league's last two-minute report deemed the decision as a correct non-call by the referee.

Here's a look at Jokic's episode with the referee during the Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks matchup.

"I guarantee you they start hitting these officials pockets, they gon start officiating right. Might not be perfect but it’s gon be 10x better than what they doing. They gotta start giving out fines for refs."

Some Ben Simmons slander made its way in the comments section. @watch_hoop added:

"Bro saw Ben Simmons scoring and knew something sinister was at play"

At the time of writing, the Sacramento Kings trail the Nets 68-59. As for the row, Mike Brown was assessed with a technical. In the end, the Kings went down 108-103.

Mike Brown explains the outburst after Kings' loss

Speaking to the media after their loss — their third in a row, Mike Brown explained why his outburst came about the way it did. He said it was a ploy to help Sacramento get their mojo back on.

"I thought Colby got hit going to the rim. I just wanted to show our guys that, 'Hey, we all need to fight.' I'm [going to] try to fight, you guys try to fight and see if we can find a way to get ourselves into the game and, you know if we're going to go down, we're going to go down swinging."

Safe to say though, the unorthodox method of lighting a fire under his players only worked for a brief bit as they were undone on both ends of the floor. They play the OKC Thunder next.
