The LA Lakers could bring in another ballhandler in Kemba Walker, as they're rumored to give him a workout before the season ends. Walker is a free agent and could sign with any team after his stint with the Dallas Mavericks.
Walker started off as a guard for the Mavs and was waived by the team earlier this year. The four-time All-Star has played only nine games this season and has averaged 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 42.1% from the field and 25% from the three.
His stint with the Mavs was short-lived and received an offer to play for Olympia Milano last January.

How can the Lakers incorporate Kemba Walker to their system?
The Lakers are looking thin on facilitators this season as their newly acquired point guard, D'Angelo Russell, has met setbacks due to injuries. Additionally, LeBron James will be out of the lineup for multiple weeks. With that said, bringing in Kemba Walker to the team would help address their needs.
Los Angeles is trying to make a final push to save their 2022-23 campaign. With five weeks left in the season, the Lakers are trying everything to make it back to the postseason. Walker is a capable ballhandler and could fit well into their system if he gets to play alongside Anthony Davis.
Davis and Walker could play well together since Russell is still out of the lineup. Kemba could have more chances at getting his shots up since the defense will focus more on AD. With the defense more focused on the All-Star bigman, the former Charlotte Hornets star could elevate his game.
If the two injured stars get back into the lineup, keeping Walker could be a huge key to their lineup. He could come off the bench and do damage to his team with the second unit.
