Lakers fans shared candid reactions after a video of superstar Anthony Davis attentively listening to coach JJ Redick’s advice went viral on social media following the team’s 116-106 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. The moment occurred during a timeout with 3:46 remaining, as Redick pulled Davis aside while he was heading back to the bench.

In the video, Redick is seen placing his hands around Davis' waist as the Lakers center, with an arm around the coach's shoulder, patiently listened to the advice.

Fans dropped unfiltered reactions to the exchange between Davis and Redick, with some taking the opportunity to critique former Lakers coach Darvin Ham.

"Anthony Davis never did this with Darvin Ham," a fan wrote.

"True, but to be honest, it is difficult to put your arm around someone when your hands are in your pockets," commented another fan.

Anthony Davis' stellar start to the season

Anthony Davis has had a stellar start to the season under coach JJ Redick. The nine-time NBA All-Star currently leads the league in scoring and is an early frontrunner for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. Redick has designed schemes and plays around Davis, especially on the offensive end, while Davis’ elite defensive skills have also been on full display.

Davis averages 32.4 points after playing eight of the Lakers' nine games and is shooting 56.9% from the field, including 26.7% from beyond the arc. He’s also contributing 11.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.
