Philadelphia 76ers fans were dismayed after news of Joel Embiid's injury did the rounds on Friday. The center injured the face during the 76ers versus Indiana Pacers matchup at Wells Fargo Center. The big took a heavy hit to the face and exited soon after, with the team announcing that he was out for the remainder of the game.

Joel Embiid scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting and recorded four rebounds and five assists in the first half. The big has been dealing with injuries since last season and hasn't been at full capacity this year. He entered this game averaging 22.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in the limited time he spent on the court this season.
