Speaking on his podcast, Chicago Bulls star Patrick Beverley hit back at Dave Portnoy’s over his comments aimed at Angel Reese.

LSU basketball star Angel Reese found herself at the center of a controversy on Sunday after her behavior towards Caitlin Clark during their match drew mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.

Among the most vocal critics was Dave Portnoy, the founder of the media company Barstool Sports, who took to Twitter to express his disapproval of Reese's behavior, referring to her as a “classless piece of s**t.”

Reese herself finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds as LSU Tigers cruised to a 102-85 victory. Portnoy’s response has led to a range of criticism, with Patrick Beverley becoming the latest to criticize him.

“Hey Dave Portnoy you cant do that. You cant say that about her. It’s competition. You shit on people all the time. Literally. Shit on people. Somebody doing it, that’s a different race, a different gender.
"Everything is great, everything is okay. It brings out the competition. You gotta let that ride. Coz I didn’t hear anything from you when Austin Reaves gave me the “too little.””

Patrick Beverley has a simple question for Portnoy after Angel Reese row

Patrick Beverley has a fiery reputation in the NBA and has been a physical defender throughout his career. The player has been involved in innumerable brawls and often talks trash with his opponents. The LA Lakers had an interesting two games against the Chicago Bulls.

They lost their first game, which was the first time LeBron James had started after an injury layoff, and returned in the second with a dominating 121-110 victory. In the closing minutes of the first game, former Laker Patrick Beverley made a bombastic move by scoring on LeBron James and giving him the "too small" gesture. It was a bold move from Beverley, who had previously expressed his desire to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs.

But on Wednesday, it was the Lakers who got the last laugh. With just under three minutes left in the game, Austin Reaves made a one-handed shot over Beverley and then responded with the same "too small" gesture that Beverley had used on James just days before.

LeBron James was quick to appreciate Reaves after the game, claiming that he was glad that the “AR always had his back.” Needless to say, Beverley is no stranger to competitive moments and is right to question Portnoy over his silence after the incident.
