LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson was in attendance to celebrate the LA Dodgers' championship parade. The Dodgers won this year's World Series earlier this week by beating the New York Yankees 4-1. It's been four years since LA has been a city of champions. The last time the Dodgers won the World Series was in 2020, which was the same year the Lakers won the NBA championship.

Johnson shared a special moment with the Dodgers and posted multiple photos on Instagram. He held the World Series trophy including a photo with star slugger Shohei Ohtani.

Magic Johnson is also the LA Dodgers' co-owner, which is another reason why he was in attendance. Despite being a retired athlete, Magic continues to lift trophies.

He previously posted on his Instagram story that he now has a total of 15 championships in his sports career. That's one title from his college basketball days, five rings from the NBA, and nine collective championships since becoming a co-owner of the LAFC, LA Sparks, Lakers, and Dodgers.

Looking at Magic Johnson's ownership of LA Dodgers

Magic Johnson is no stranger to the city of LA. During his professional basketball days, he suited up for the LA Lakers, where he played for his entire career. Johnson played for the Lakers in 13 seasons and notched five NBA titles.

After his basketball career abruptly ended, it was clear that Johnson wasn't ready to say goodbye to LA and sports in general. This led to the NBA legend purchasing ownership stakes in multiple LA sports teams such as the LAFC, LA Sparks, and LA Dodgers.

Johnson has a 2.3% stake in the Dodgers, making him a minority owner. Johnson, alongside Billie Jean King, Ilana Kloss, Alan Smolinisky, and Robert L. Plummer, has been the owner of the team since 2012.

Despite Johnson's involvement in other sports, he still makes his presence felt in the basketball world. He continuously shows support for the LA Lakers, may it be on social media or in person whenever he would attend live games at the Crypto.com arena.
