"Picked a good time for a break": NBA fans roast absent LeBron James as Lakers fall to T-Wolves

LeBron James was at the receiving end from fans after the LA Lakers fell 97-87 to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Friday. The absence of the four-time NBA champion was felt as LA sputtered on offense and lacked the firepower and playmaking that James brought in each game.

The 39-year-old was sidelined with foot soreness and his absence marked the second straight game he missed this season. As for the fans, they minced no words when they trolled the superstar. One of them tweeted:

"Lebron picked a good time for a break"

More responses followed with a fan shifting the blame to D'Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura. @reggie94lakers wrote:

"You really should be more mad at DLO and Rui with the money they make"

The focus shifted back to James again with @seansowavy saying:

"This roster so bad even Bron don’t wanna be around em"

@Antoinesilva did not want James to come back to the squad.

"@KingJames please don't come back"

@lilbertww believed massive moves were in order:

"I can forgive Dalton Knecht because he is a rookie but the REST I HATE ALL OF THEM WITH OR WITHOUT LEBRON JAMES THEY ARE TRASH except for AD, AR and Max"

Anthony Davis was the lone bright spot for LA with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Austin Reaves and Max Christie had 18 and 15 points, each. The loss now sees them slip to 13-12. The Lakers will hope that LeBron James returns sooner with a tough December stretch looming.
