"Buddy chose Europe over NBA," @PhilsMakeMeSad tweeted.
"I tried telling Pat Bev fans the bucks weren’t gonna resign him. He brings less than Thanasis to the game," @theschanuz said.
Some fans were supportive of Patrick Beverley taking his talents overseas.
"Pat Bev, love you. Wish you never left the Sixers last year. Respect your choice. Bring that good energy overseas."

This will not be the first time that Beverley has played overseas. He began his professional basketball career in Ukraine and spent time in Greece after being cut from the Miami Heat in 2009-10. He then played in Russia for two seasons before signing with the Houston Rockets.
Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. competes in the EuroCup as well as the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
What was Patrick Beverley's last NBA contract?
Patrick Beverley signed with the Philadelphia 76ers before the 2023-24 season on a one-year deal worth $3.1 million according to Sportrac.
He played 47 games for the Sixers averaging 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Before the trade deadline on February 8, 2024, he was sent to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Cameron Payne as well as a 2027 second-round pick.
Beverley played in 26 games for the Bucks down the final stretch of the season, starting 8, and became a crucial roleplayer during the team's push for the postseason.
Milwaukee faced the Indiana Pacers in the first round in an uphill battle as the team dealt with injuries to both Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks fought hard despite these injuries but were eliminated in six games.
Towards the end of game 6, Patrick Beverley threw a ball at a fan which resulted in the league suspending him for four games. He was supposed to serve that suspension at the start of the 2024-25 season.
