Richard Jefferson on improbability of acing LeBron James’s all-time playoff scoring by other players: “That sh*t’s not gonna be broken”

LA Lakers superstar forward LeBron James has been a dominant force throughout his NBA career, especially in high-stakes moments like the playoffs.

James is currently partaking in his 20th season in the NBA. Throughout his career, the legendary forward has made the NBA playoffs in 15 seasons. LeBron has played 266 games in total when it comes to the playoffs.

That resulted in James cementing himself in NBA history as one of the most dominant players. He currently holds the All-Time record when it comes to points scored in the NBA playoffs. That record involves 7,631 points compared to Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, who sits at 5,987.

Appearing on "No Chill with Gilbert Arenas," former NBA veteran and current analyst Richard Jefferson went on to praise LeBron James. Jefferson spoke about James' playoff scoring throughout his career. He said that he believes no player will break LeBron's record of total points in the future.

“LeBron James’ playoff scoring, he passed MJ three seasons ago and he’s going to add to that. So to pass LBJ in all-time playoff scoring somebody is going to have to do what? Average 30 points a game and go to like 13 NBA finals. That sh*t’s not gonna be broken.”

The records that LA Lakers superstar LeBron James has added to his resume have been astonishing. While Michael Jordan holds the all-time record for playoff points per game (33.4), James has him beat when it comes to total points.

James continues to cement his name in NBA history when it comes to some of his legendary accomplishments. His hope now will be to add to that total during the 2022-23 season.

LeBron and the LA Lakers will have their work cut out for them moving forward. It was a disaster of a start to the 2022-23 season for the team. The Lakers found themselves at 2-10 on the year at one point and were trending in the wrong direction.

That was until James and teammate Anthony Davis started to blossom for the team. The Lakers has won five of their last seven games and currently find themselves at 10-13 on the season. While the recent showing offers signs of hope, there's still plenty of work left to be done. They are currently in 13th place in the Western Conference standings.

After Tuesday night's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team is set to face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night. They will be shorthanded, as it's been reported that both James and Anthony Davis are out.
