Russell Westbrook has 14 straight losses in last 14 games as starter: Fans in disbelief spark hilarious "Just having fun" taunts to egg on

Russell Westbrook has 14 straight losses as starter.

Over the years, many have questioned what kind of impact Russell Westbrook has on winning. The numbers from his recent stretch fail to shine a positive light on the former MVP.

After a shaky tenure with the LA Lakers, Russell Westbrook was finally moved at the trade deadline. Following a buyout from the Utah Jazz, he reunited with former teammate Paul George on the LA Clippers. Some thought the change of scenery would do him good, but it hasn't yielded any results yet.

When the Clippers lost to the Golden State Warriors 115-91 on Thursday, it marked 14 straight losses for Westbrook as a starter. He has also not won a game in nearly a month. His last win came off the bench on Feb. 2 with the Lakers. He then lost his last two games with the Lakers and his first four games with the Clippers.

This has resulted in fans poking fun at some of his previous comments. While with the Lakers, he chimed in during a huddle, telling the team to "just have fun" while LeBron James was attempting to motivate the group.

How has Russell Westbrook fared with the Clippers so far?

Through his first four games with the LA Clippers, Russell Westbrook is putting up similar production to what he did with the LA Lakers. He is averaging 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 8.5 assists with his new squad.

Westbrook's best game with the Clippers came in his debut when he posted 17 points, five rebounds and 14 assists in a historic double-overtime thriller against the Sacramento Kings, a 176-175 loss.

While Westbrook can't be to blame for all these losses, there is no denying he is still a weakness at times. Even on a new team, his inabilities are still creating issues.

As most everyone knows, Westbrook is far from a threat from beyond the arc. It was a glaring issue during his time with the Lakers and is still proving to be problematic with the Clippers.

During the matchup with the Golden State Warriors, Westbrook had the ball at the top of the key. Instead of defending him on the perimeter, Draymond Green opted to clog the paint and dare him to shoot, it led to a terribly-spaced possession for LA.

Come the postseason, this could be something the Clippers will have to deal with numerous times. Opponents will dare him to shoot all day as opposed to giving easy looks to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

Seeing how things have gone thus far, the Clippers might need to drastically shake things up with their new addition. The first step might be moving Westbrook back to a sixth-man role like he did with the Lakers.
