NBA champion Serge Ibaka responded to Kendrick Perkins on Twitter after he became the subject of a joke from his former teammate. Ibaka's response was unexpected, and Perkins has since issued an apology for offending the veteran big.

Ibaka didn't hold back as he let Perk know that his joke wasn't well received. The two former teammates went on a Twitter exchange regarding the analyst's joke about the Congolese-Spanish big man.

"Hey @KendrickPerkins, I count my blessings every day and I don’t usually react to comments about me. But It's disappointing to hear someone I shared a locker room with spreading misinformation to be relevant and get views on TV and social media," Ibaka tweeted.

Later, the Milwaukee Bucks big man tweeted out a photo that elaborated on his side.

Perkins, meanwhile, has issued an apology since then and is looking to make peace with the defensive big man.

While everyone thought it was over, the former Boston Celtics big man added more fuel to the flames by accusing Ibaka of spreading rumors. His apology was followed up by a tweet about Ibaka and his alleged lies. According to Perkins, he knows something that stems from the locker room of their days with the OKC Thunder.

"Did you say spreading lies at @sergeibaka? Please don’t get me started homie!!!! Please don’t. I’m not about to talk about those OKC days and what you were doing in that locker room. I will not… but you definitely need to stop because you know I KNOW!!!! Carry on tho…"

Perkins thought he was in the clear when he made comments about his former teammates' age. During a segment on ESPN's "First Take," Perkins and JJ Redick talked about the ages of his former teammates: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka.

When it came to Ibaka's age, Perk pokeed fun at the defensive big.

"Kevin Durant is only 23, Westbrook is only 22, Harden is 22, Serge Ibaka is 21, although he was probably 30 at the time because we know how certain individuals lie about their age." Perkins said.

As soon as the shot-blocking big man saw this on Twitter, he went on a rant about Perkins spreading false rumors about his age. Ibaka was obviously offended, and is serious about the matter of his real age.
