Basketball fans didn’t hold back in criticizing Klay Thompson for his poor shooting performance during the Dallas Mavericks’ preseason game against the LA Clippers on Monday. The former Golden State Warriors star missed all nine of his field goal attempts, including six from beyond the arc.

Thompson, who played 21:22 minutes, looked out of rhythm and despite getting some decent looks, the four-time NBA champion struggled to find his touch. Fans were quick to express their disappointment with the five-time All-Star's rough outing.

Klay Thompson has struggled to find his rhythm in the two preseason games he's played for the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran guard missed the team's opener against the Memphis Grizzlies but made his much-anticipated debut for Dallas against the Utah Jazz.

Klay finished that game with 10 points, shooting 3-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. However, he posted the worst plus/minus (-19) among all players in that game.

Despite Thompson's early struggles, there remains a strong sense of optimism among fans that his performance will improve significantly once Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving return to the lineup. Klay is likely to get more open looks with the Mavericks' superstar duo in the lineup.
