Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been off to a strong start this season. While Curry has thrived on the court, he's been active off the court as well.

Curry recently backed a Virtual Reality golf platform alongside sports superstars Mike Trout and Tom Brady. The Warriors guard was also announced as a game character in PGA Tour 2K23.

That's just the beginning for Curry, who is staying active in his off-court investments. It was recently announced by Josh Gerben of Gerben Intellectual Property that Curry has filed for the trademark "CURRYVERSE." It's part of Curry's goal of diving into the metaverse.

It's reported that the move is another part of Steph's investment "in the evolution of social technology." The focus will be on a wide range of virtual assets.

Curry is also in the process of getting five other trademarks approved for the metaverse, including "Night.Night," which is an homage to his famous celebration.

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has stayed active with his investments off the court. While Curry's platform has blossomed over the years, so has his play on the court.

Last year's Finals MVP, Curry has been off to a strong start this season. In his first seven games, Curry is averaging 31.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. During that span, Curry is also shooting 47.0%, including 39.5% from 3-point range.

Although Curry is set to turn 35 this season, he's shown no signs of slowing down. In his last three games, Curry has averaged 32.0 ppg while shooting 48.5%. It's not a surprise to see Curry building off his impressive postseason run from last season.

What has been surprising is the team's slow start. Golden State (3-4) has lost two consecutive games, road losses to the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons.

For a team that many considered favorites in the Western Conference, it's been a shockingly slow start. Golden State still has one of the league's most talented rosters, including veterans Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Offense hasn't been a problem for the Warriors, their usual strength. The team ranks third in the NBA in scoring at 118.7 ppg.

The problem, instead, has been the defense. Golden State finds itself 23rd with a defensive rating of 115.2. For a team that has thrived in the past with its two-way ability, it's clear that Golden State has some work to do.

The Warriors will look to get back on track Tuesday on the road against the Miami Heat. After that, they will finish off their road trip with games against the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans.
