Steph Curry has fans wheezing with comeback reports against Lakers: "This ni**a always ready when it comes to ruining LeBron's plans"

Steph Curry plans to return on Sunday against the LA Lakers. The Golden State Warriors superstar has been out for the last 10 games and will miss his 11th when the Warriors take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. It's an ideal time for Curry to come back against the Lakers with the Dubs on a roll, having won their last four games.

Their 115-91 comeback win over the LA Clippers on Thursday helped them go three games clear of the .500 mark for the first time this season. The Dubs are 33-30 and have climbed to fifth in the Western Conference standings.

Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes broke the news about Steph Curry's plans to return against the Lakers. As expected, the Lakers faithful were certainly not excited about it as their team is battling to make the play-in tournament. LA has a 30-33 record, good for 11th in the West.

Warriors have a chance at leveling the season series with LeBron James-less Lakers as Steph Curry prepares to return

The Western Conference is wide open. The LA Lakers are 11th in the Western Conference but only 2.5 games behind the sixth seed and a game behind the 10th seed. The Golden State Warriors are three games clear of the 17-time champions in fifth.

However, considering how their season has gone, the Warriors may not want to risk going into their game against the Lakers shorthanded. LA has beaten the Warriors twice in their last two meetings. The Warriors were without Steph Curry on both occasions.

The Lakers hold a 2-1 advantage over Golden State in their season series. If the Lakers somehow managed to have the same record as the defending champions at the end of the regular season, they would get a better seeding than the Warriors.

With Curry returning and LeBron James out of the lineup for the Lakers, the Warriors will have a chance to level the season series. James has been diagnosed with a tendon injury in his foot and is out for at least three weeks.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have lost their last five games on the road. They boast a league-worst 7-23 away record this season. These factors make it ideal for the Dubs to have Steph Curry back in the lineup against the new-look LA Lakers, who have won five of their last seven games.

The Warriors seem to have rediscovered their mojo, outclassing teams in the third quarter like they did last year. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain that on the road against the Lakers.
