Steph Curry highlights where Golden State Warriors are getting it wrong

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry had some tough words for his team after their loss to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. After their third consecutive loss on the road, the Warriors superstar hopes to see more aggression from the unit as a whole.

Coming off their title run, the Golden State Warriors are considered one of the best teams in the league. After an impressive showing on opening night, the Dubs managed to notch a fairly solid showing at home.

Unfortunately, this hasn't necessarily translated into much success on the road. With a 0-3 record on the road, the Golden State Warriors find themselves with a 3-4 record early in the season. This sight certainly doesn't suit the reigning champions.

Warriors superstar Steph Curry addressed their most recent 114-128 loss against the Detroit Pistons on the road. Speaking about the team's performance in the post-game interview, Curry said:

"It's the communication. Understanding what we're trying to do in terms of making teams uncomfortable we've got to get more aggressive, I think. Be the first one to strike instead of reacting to what everybody's doing.

"There has to be a feeling and an understanding that, I think Draymond talked about it in the locker room, that every team is coming after us with their best effort. We're the defending champs.

"So communicating, being the first one to attack and set the tone for Warrior defensive - championship level basketball - on that end of the floor, we haven't done it consistently enough to give us a chance to win games like tonight."

Amid a fairly arduous part of their season, the Warriors will hope to put an end to their two-game losing streak soon. However, with the next installment of their five-game road trip taking them to Miami, Steph Curry and the Dubs have their work cut out for them.

Steph Curry is one of the most lethal scorers in the game. With a vast array of offensive weapons, Curry is capable of lighting it up against any team at the drop of a hat.

This was seen in the Golden State Warriors' latest game against the Detroit Pistons as well. Steph Curry went off for 32 points, which in light of his poor shooting night was fairly impressive.

When paired with Jordan Poole's 30-point contribution on the night, the Dubs appeared to be in a solid position. Unfortunately, Curry and Poole were the only contributing forces for the Warriors.

The 114-128 loss featured an absolute breakdown of the Golden State Warriors' defensive schemes. While the Dubs started the game strong with a solid first quarter, they disappeared in the second quarter.

Giving up 34 points while notching only 18, the Warriors saw their lead dwindle away as the first-half ended. Detroit benefitted from this momentum as they went on to hang 37 points in the third-quarter.

The end result at this point was predictable. With the Pistons 42.4% from beyond the arc and 48.2% from the field, the Warriors had no chance of recovering.

Golden State's botched defensive assignments cost them dearly as Cade Cunningham led the Pistons to an outstanding win. With several concerns mounting within the Warriors locker room, the team will hope to switch gears and return to their winning ways soon.
