Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors has been out since February 4 after suffering two partially torn ligaments in his left leg. Curry recently gave an honest assessment of his potential return after the All-Star break.

The Warriors released an update five days later, giving no timetable for Curry's return. The four-time champ, who will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, shared his thoughts on his injury and road to recovery before Golden State's matchup against the Washington Wizards on Monday.

"It's all dictated around how this heals," Curry said. "This is different than the shoulder, where it was pretty predictable where I would be able to get to a point where I could play and not re-injure it or put myself in jeopardy out there on the floor."

He added:

"This one's different because ligaments can heal on all different types of timelines. So there's like a window for each checkpoint. After the All-Star break, I'm going to hopefully get back on the court. Then depending on how things go from there, you can start to key in on a specific date to get back."

Steph Curry added that he doesn't expect to play in the Golden State Warriors' first game after the All-Star break against the LA Lakers. Curry believes that his recovery will go smoothly, but missing a chunk of games post-All-Star break is expected.

The leg injury is already the reigning NBA Finals MVP's second serious injury this season. He missed 11 games from mid-December to early January due to a left shoulder subluxation.

Steph Curry was voted as an All-Star starter this season. It was a well-deserved ninth All-Star selection for Curry, who is averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He's also shooting 49.5% from the field, 42.7% from beyond the arc and 92.2% from the free throw line.

However, Curry will miss the All-Star game due to a lower leg injury suffered on February 4 against the Dallas Mavericks. Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies will replace him in the starting lineup.

Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans and Kevin Durant, now of the Phoenix Suns, are also both out of the All-Star game. They will be replaced in the starting lineup by Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, respectively.

The NBA also announced three All-Star replacements for Curry, Williamson and Durant. Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and De'Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings earned their first All-Star nods. Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors will participate in his second All-Star game.
