Golden State Warriors legend Steph Curry claimed that he would like his own “crib” over the White House any day.

Steph Curry and the Warriors visited the White House upon invitation by President Joe Biden. This was the second White House visit for Curry who was also invited by Barack Obama seven years ago.

Steph Curry even gave a speech during which he thanked Biden for his role in ensuring the safe return of Brittney Griner. Regardless, speaking on “The Daily Show,” Curry claimed that he would prefer to stay in his own house rather than the White House. There was a simple reason behind it, that being easy access to the kitchen!

When asked about his preference, Curry said:

“My crib. I like my crib better. My crib got a kitchen I got access to. I don't even know where they keep the food at over here.”

Curry might not have to worry about the White House anytime soon, considering the sheer competition that the Golden State Warriors face to defend their crown this season. Curry himself might be producing extraordinary numbers yet again, but there are plenty of other teams that will give the Warriors a run for their money.

Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors are not the favorites to win the NBA championship this year

The Golden State Warriors are currently sixth in the Western Conference with a 22-22 record. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are aging stars with plenty of experience. They have been phenomenal for the Warriors over the past decade and are hoping to defend the title this year.

However, plenty of other teams have made improvements. The Boston Celtics are the favorites to win the NBA championship, while Luka Doncic is adamant to see the Dallas Mavericks make improvements before the end of the trade deadline. The Philadelphia 76ers are also contenders, while the Brooklyn Nets, if they can keep their stars healthy, will be one of the favorites as well.

There is little doubt that the league has gotten better this season, with plenty of other teams also capable of pulling off big victories. This includes the Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers and even the Denver Nuggets. The 2023 season has already seen plenty of records being broken and the Golden State Warriors will need to raise their game in order to have a shot at a title defense. Of course, in the background is LeBron James, who is on the verge of becoming the highest scorer in NBA history.
