On Tuesday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic confirmed Steph Curry's status for Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals. The Golden State Warriors star has been ruled out due to a hamstring strain against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On Wednesday, the Warriors will face the Wolves on the brink of elimination without their best player. On Monday, Golden State suffered a 117-110 defeat in Game 4 to fall to a 3-1 deficit.

Curry only played one game in the series against the Wolves. In Game 1, he played for 12 minutes and had to leave the game due to a hamstring injury. The Warriors got the 99-88 victory but have lost three straight games due to the two-time MVP's absence.

Steph Curry's co-star doesn't want him to rush his comeback
The Warriors' season is on the line on Wednesday, and they need their best player. However, Steph Curry hasn't fully healed from his injury and letting him play immediately isn't an ideal approach. For Draymond Green, he doesn't want his longtime co-star to rush his way back to the lineup.
After their loss on Monday, Green explained that he wants the 2022 Finals MVP to make sure he's 100% healthy before returning.
“We don’t need Superman. Play the long game. If he can, we know he will; there’s no pressure. But we gotta figure out a way to win whether he plays or not,” Green said via The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.
Without Curry, the team struggles with spacing. The defense tends to pay attention to other shooters since they don't have to worry about the league's all-time leader in 3-pointers.
However, Golden State still has a bit of hope in them. The team had Butler, who's a big-time performer in the postseason. In Game 4, he wasn't aggressive and head coach Steve Kerr knows that.
However, Kerr said the coaching staff will make a game plan to give Butler open looks and help him find his rhythm for Game 5.
“With that said, we’ll look at the tape and see where we can find some openings for him. I know he’ll be aggressive for Game 5.”
Butler only had 14 points in Game 4 against Minnesota following nine shot attempts from the field.
