Steph Curry returned to the court with Team USA after their humbling win against Brazil in the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympic basketball tournament. The Golden State Warriors point guard hadn't had the best performances in this competition and the chance to face the dangerous Serbia on Thursday was a good opportunity to bounce back.

Curry took the game by storm as soon as it started, scoring 17 of Team USA's 23 points in the first quarter. He shot 75% from the field and 71% from deep while grabbing a rebound and dishing one assist. Besides Curry, only LeBron James (3 points), Anthony Davis (2) and Devin Booker (1) scored for Team USA in the first period.

Curry scored three more points in the second quarter while contributing with three rebounds and one assist. The Chef had help from James and Joel Embiid, but Team USA trailed Serbia by 11 points at halftime.

Curry started the third quarter the same way he started the first, making two 3-pointers and adding seven points to his account. Despite Curry's heroics, Serbia finished the third quarter up 13 points.

The Europeans played physical against the point guard, preventing him from getting to the basket during his first attempt in the fourth quarter. Steph Curry drained a clutch 3-pointer to give Team USA the 87-86 lead with two minutes on the clock.

After a fastbreak from LeBron James, the Chef did the same and gave his team a five-point advantage. After that moment, there was no looking back.

Team USA got the 95-91 win in a hard-fought game behind Steph Curry's 36 points. He shot 63% from the field, making 12 of his 19 attempts. From deep, he made nine of 14 attempts for 64%. Curry was on a mission and recorded his best game of the tournament.

Ja Morant, Paige Bueckers hyped up Steph Curry after terrific first quarter

As soon as the game started, Steph Curry was on a tear. So much so that some fellow basketball stars hyped him up.

First, Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant laughed at Curry's ridiculous start to the game.

"chef curry 😂," he wrote.
Moreover, NCAA superstar Paige Bueckers predicted what was coming for Serbia. "Just might be the Steph game 🔥," she wrote.

The rest of the game proved Bueckers right, as Curry went off and scored nearly 40 points to lead his team to the final game.
