Steph Curry led the Golden State Warriors in their NBA Cup game against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday as he matched up against his former teammate and close friend Klay Thompson for the first time. Curry had a big scoring night, leading the Warriors to a 120-117 victory.

The two-time league MVP came out strong, delivering an impressive start on offense. Within the first 10 minutes, the four-time NBA champion had already tallied 12 points and was showcasing his all-around game as the Warriors kept pace with a surging Mavericks squad.

At halftime, the Warriors trailed the Mavericks 63-59, with Steph Curry's 14-point performance helping to keep the deficit at just four points. In just over 16 minutes, Curry shot 6 of 10 from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc. He also contributed three rebounds, six assists and two blocks, although he missed his only free throw attempt.

Curry came out blazing in the third quarter, showcasing his offensive brilliance and helping the Warriors overturn the deficit to take a seven-point lead heading into the fourth. In addition to scoring 11 points, the former NBA Finals MVP also contributed with three assists and one rebound in the quarter.

Curry had a slow start to the fourth quarter, but the Warriors’ star soon ignited a personal 10-0 run, giving the team a four-point lead with under 30 seconds left in the game. With 12 seconds remaining, Curry confidently stepped to the free-throw line and sank both attempts, solidifying the Warriors' advantage.

Curry wrapped up the game with an impressive 37 points, shooting 14-of-27, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc. The star point guard also tallied six rebounds, nine assists, one steal and two blocks, going 4-of-5 from the free throw line and posting a +24 plus/minus.

Hoops fans went wild after watching Steph Curry deliver another memorable performance in clutch and helped the Golden State Warriors secure an emphatic victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
