Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr shared an update on Steph Curry's potential return date from his hamstring injury. Curry has not played since Game 1 when he suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain. The Warriors need to win Wednesday's Game 5 to stay alive in their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Speaking to reporters before Game 5, Kerr was asked about an update on Curry, who was scheduled to get re-evaluated earlier in the day. He was already ruled out for Game 5, with Golden State down 3-1 in the Western Conference finals.
Kerr gave the Warriors fanbase some hope that they could see Curry in Game 6, as long as they stay alive and win Wednesday's contest.

"It’s a possibility he could play," Kerr said, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Steph Curry suffered the injury in the second quarter of Game 1, playing just a total of 13 minutes before eventually getting ruled out for the rest of the contest. He was then diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, with the Golden State Warriors ruling him out for a week.
Curry was re-evaluated on Wednesday, but wasn't cleared to return. He is scheduled for another evaluation on Saturday if they play Game 6 back at home in San Francisco. Draymond Green didn't urge his teammate to return if he's not ready to return and prioritize his long-term health.
Draymond Green reveals insight on Steph Curry's rehab for hamstring injury

While some fans want Steph Curry to return, it's a complicated injury that doesn't need to be rushed. Curry has been working with the Golden State Warriors' director of sports medicine and performance, Rick Celebrini, to ensure that he'll be 100% healthy again.
Speaking after Game 4, Draymond Green shared some insight on what Curry has been doing in rehab. Green explained that the two-time NBA MVP has been busy working out and doing around eight to nine hours in the gym.
"As far as Steph, he’s working his tail off every day," Green said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. "You know, he’s in here eight, nine hours a day, working, doing what he can to try to get back. So, you know, his morale is great. Obviously, nobody’s excited right now, but he’s working to get back. That’s all you can do it at this point."
Curry is already 37 years old, so the Warriors are unsurprisingly cautious about his injury.
