Robin Lopez may look like a mean big man in the NBA with his intimidating height and facial features.

However, little do people know that he has a humorous side and is not afraid to share that with fans. There was a time when fans got a glimpse of Lopez's funny side when he appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel LIVE' to respond to mean tweets about him and his brother.

Recently, Lopez showcased his sense of humor once again, this time on Twitter. The Cleveland Cavaliers big man took a dig at how the Brooklyn Nets fell apart this season when both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were traded to the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks respectively.

Lopez pointed out how similar the Nets' situation was to when the Muppets attempted to take over Manhattan.

"This is just like that time in Muppets Take Manhattan when the Muppets, after unsuccessfully attempting to take Manhattan, split up and leave Manhattan."

Looking at other funny Robin Lopez tweets

Robin Lopez sure knows how to make light out of a tough situation, but this isn't the first time he made such humorous analogies.

In 2021, Lopez tweeted about how he was scared of one day scrolling through Twitter to find out if he had been traded to another team coming from the Orlando Magic.

"Every year I get more and more terrified the NBA, hoping to be rid of me, will start the season and not tell me and I'll find out at home, on the couch, surfing Twitter while binging Bob's Burgers. It's tweets like these that make me sit up in a cold sweat."

Speaking of being traded, there was another time when Lopez agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Washington Wizards in 2020. After signing with the team, there were numerous reports about John Wall wanting out of Washington.

Robin Lopez had the perfect response and tweeted a GIF featuring Troy Barnes holding several boxes of pizza and walking into a room set on fire. It signified him happily joining a team he didn't know was crumbling into pieces.
