Coming off a victory against Canada in their first showcase game, Team USA returned to action on Monday. They traveled to Abu Dhabi to continue their showcase schedule leading up to the 2024 Summer Olympics.The United States faced a roster loaded with NBA talent last game against Canada and faced a similar challenge against Australia. Among the talents they faced off against included young players like Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels, along with veterans such as Patty Mills and Joe Ingles.Head coach Steve Kerr rolled out a new starting five in their second showcase game. After coming off the bench against Canada, Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards made the first unit on Monday.After breaking out to a big lead early, Team USA managed to secure a 98-92 victory against Australia. Among the standouts for the United States in this exhibition was the Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. Edwards was among his team's leading scorers with 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting.Another standout for Team USA was Anthony Davis.
