The Charlotte Hornets have been surprising NBA fans recently. Charlotte has meddled with their Western Conference rivals, knocking the Dallas Mavericks out of the postseason spots.

On Tuesday (Mar. 28) night, the Hornets knocked back the OKC Thunder to tenth spot in the West after beating them 137-134, eading NBA fans to troll the teams that recently fell to the Hornets.

Some are even speculating that the league is scripted, given how a weak Hornets team is beating strong Western Conference outfits:

Here are some of the other reactions:

@unc9876 tweeted: "Hornets have been playing hard all year even with the injuries….didn’t rank like Spurs Pistons Rockets. Give them Wemby to pair up with LaMelo"
@smh24yt__ tweeted: "But no lakers on the schedule here on out huh?? Yeah this league is scripted… I will need to file a complaint to Silver on this one, of course they want LeBrick to dodge MJ’s team when it matters in the clutch time of the regular season"
@knIckskaIszn tweeted: "Next season they will be like the Kings this year"
@yotsugoat tweeted: "Best part of the hornets season every year is when it’s all vibes and playing spoiler"
@jrizzle1231 tweeted: "Things going according to plan for LA in it's quest for.the 6th seed."
@slimvsjarvis tweeted: "Respect them for not tanking btw Mile Bridges and Melo would’ve got them in the playoffs though"

PJ Washington sizzles for Charlotte Hornets

PJ Washington did it all for the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night against the OKC Thunder. Washington added 43 points, six rebounds and five assists to help seal the victory as the 14th-placed Hornets continue to beat teams in the West who have postseason aspirations.

Charlotte is on a three-game win streak and beat the Dallas Mavericks on back-to-back nights before their win against OKC. The Hornets remarkably beat a Mavs team that had Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, despite lacking star power, especially with LaMelo Ball out for the season.

Despite their recent resurgence, the Hornets (26-51) are only ahead of 15th-placed Detroit Pistons (16-59) in the East.
