Tristan Thompson's mother Andrea suddenly dies in Toronto: All we know so far

According to recent reports, Tristan Thompson's mother has suddenly passed away. Andrea suffered a heart attack in her Toronto home on Thursday. She was rushed quickly to the hospital, but ultimately did not make it.

The former NBA champion was not in Toronto at the time, but left LA the moment he heard the news. Since the news emerged, Thompson has yet to speak on the tragic passing of his mother.

Tristan Thompson's mother leaves behind four children. Along with the former Cleveland Cavaliers big man, she gave birth to three boys.

Outside of her own children, Andrea Thompson was also a grandmother. Tristan Thompson currently has two children with his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.

Tristan Thompson's mother had close bond with her son

Despite living in Canada, it seems as though Tristan Thompson's mother shared a close relationship with her son. He regularly posted pictures of her on social media, mainly photos of her with his children.

On Mother's Day 2019, Thompson took to Instagram to leave a heartfelt message to the woman who raised him.

"Happy Mother's Day Mommy. I love you soo much. I'm so blessed to have a mother that loves me the way you do and willing to sacrifice everything for her kids."

At only 31-years-old, Tristan Thompson has to say goodbye to a parent in sudden heartbreaking fashion. There is no imagining the pain he and his family must be dealing with right now.

Currently, Thompson does not find himself on an NBA roster. This will allow him to be around his loved ones and propely grieve the tragic passing of his mother.
