Tyrese Haliburton injured his left knee during Wednesday night's game against the New York Knicks. The injury happened after Haliburton fell awkwardly coming from a layup attempt. The Indiana Pacers guard tried to create a play for himself in the third quarter with 2:46 minutes remaining on the clock.

Tyrese Haliburton broke out his handles to get past Quentin Grimes, only to get denied by Isaiah Hartenstein. While Hartenstein's defensive effort was undeniably great, the outcome didn't turn out so well for Haliburton. Tyrese ended up falling awkwardly and hurting his left knee in the process.

While he managed to walk back to the locker room by himself, ESPN reported that Haliburton left Madison Square Garden on crutches. That said, his injury is likely to be more serious than the team hoped it would be. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Tyrese would have a thorough check-up on Thursday.

But given the injury's seriousness, Tyrese Haliburton could most likely miss their upcoming games against the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies.

"He's walking out of Madison Square Garden on crutches," coach Carlisle said. "So I would guess his availability on Friday will be in question, and probably Saturday too. But who knows."

Tyrese Haliburton went from being a role player to potentially becoming an All-Star in the 2022-23 season. Haliburton is having an incredible year and is by far his best season yet. He currently has a double-double average with 20.2 points, 10.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game. While he may share the offensive load with Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, Tyrese is the team's best player.

Earlier this season, Haliburton managed to put up a 40-point game for the first time in his career. He scored a career-high 43 points when the Indiana Pacers played against the Miami Heat in December 2022. Tyrese also had a couple of 30-point games that same month, scoring 33 points against the Boston Celtics, which the Pacers ended up winning, and 35 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Unfortunately, Tyrese Haliburton could miss several games this late in the season. The Indiana Pacers are currently seated on the seventh seed and could risk losing that spot with Haliburton out. If the rest of the Pacers can manage to fend off their opponents while he isn't around, then Indiana should be able to secure their spot.
