WWE superstar The Miz almost forced overtime at the All-Star Celebrity Game.

The two-time WWE champion hit an insane three-point shot near the half-court line as the clock expired. However, that didn't count, as the ball was still in his hands as the buzzer sounded.

With 0.7 seconds left in the game, Team Dwyane Wade was up 81-78 against Team Ryan Smith. The Miz stole the inbounds pass and shot the ball from the half-court. It went in as the buzzer sounded, and Team Ryan celebrated like they won the game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ran to the court and gestured that it didn't count, as the buzzer had already gone off before The Miz released the ball. Replays showed that "The A-Lister" still had the ball when the clock hit zero.

It should also be noted that it would have only tied the game despite the presence of the Ruffles 4-Point Ridge Line. The line has to be activated for shots in and beyond the Ridge Line to be counted as four points.

The Miz thinks Cleveland Cavaliers will make 2023 NBA Finals

The Miz is a huge Cleveland Cavaliers fan since he was born and raised in Parma, Ohio, a city near Cleveland.

In an interview with TMZ Sports in October, the former WWE champion said that the Cavs would make the NBA Finals while also taking a shot at the LA Lakers.

"We're going to the NBA Finals," the former WWE champ said. "They got a young squad, and they got some good superstars. They look good, and they look better than the Lakers."

The eight-time Intercontinental champion also praised the Cavaliers for their acquisition of Donovan Mitchell in the offseason.

"The Cavs are good," the WWE superstar said. "They're up-and-coming like a team that literally people are passing on and going, 'They're good, but they're not that good.' No, they're that good. ... Spida's gonna be amazing."

"The A-Lister" is right about Mitchell, who has been having an MVP-caliber season.

Mitchell is averaging 27.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game for the Cavaliers this season. He has led the team to a 38-23 record, which is good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
