All-Star LeBron James seems to be unbothered by the recent news that rapper Drake unfollowed him on Instagram. According to the X (formerly known as Twitter) account NBA Retweet, the Canadian rapper unfollowed the LA Lakers star on the social media platform.

Throughout 2024, Drake has been in a feud with California-native rapper Kendrick Lamar. Both artists released multiple diss tracks, directly taking shots at each other. This all culminated when Lamar released "Not Like Us" on May 4. The diss track was an instant hit that everyone, even the biggest celebrities, was having fun listening to.

On June 19, Lamar held a concert in Inglewood, California, "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends," which was attended by James. This quickly became a topic, but James didn't address it directly. No one unfollowed anyone at first until Drake made his move during the Lakers' first team practice.

Even with that, the Lakers star seems to be unbothered by the social media activity by Drake. During the second day of practice, the team facility played the rapper's "Free Smoke" song and James was rapping the lyrics while getting his shots up.

Both James and Drake have been close friends for a long time. In 2023, the rapper even walked to the stage with the Lakers star and his son, Bronny, during his concert at Crypto.com Arena. In 2016, during Drake's concert in Ohio, James made an appearance on stage.

However, fans predicted the unfollowing after what happened between the three celebrities.

Aside from LeBron James, Drake unfollowed other stars

LeBron James wasn't the only personality whom Drake has unfollowed on Instagram. The Canadian stopped following Joe Budden, Playboi Carti, Kendrick Lamar and DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan's attendance at Lamar's pop-out concert could also be the reason behind his decision.

The good news is that James is still following Drake on Instagram. The Lakers star is so focused on the new NBA season that he isn't bothered much that the rapper isn't following him on Instagram anymore.
