Watch: "They're discussing the podcast!" - Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks square up on court, hilarity ensues with funny commentary and reactions

Memphis Grizzlies v Golden State Warriors
Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks nearly had a scuffle in the second quarter in tonight's game between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies.

Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green met for the first time in an NBA game after recently trading barbs on air. Tonight's matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies had an air of even more animosity, following Brooks and Green's back-and-forth.

Hours before the game, the four-time champ roasted Brooks for his earlier comments about the Warriors power forward. It only took until the second quarter of the game when the two got nose-to-nose.

The game-caller blurted when Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green stood face-to-face:

"Oh, they're talking. They're discussing the podcast!"

The viral clip showed that only Brooks was heatedly talking. Green refused to be goaded into an altercation as his team went down 74-57 after his nemesis scored a lay-up over him.

With four minutes left in the second quarter, the Warriors were down by just four points after trailing the first period 48-28. Several careless plays, however, allowed the Grizzlies to drop a crippling 20-4 run to end the first 24 minutes of action.

The 48 points surrendered by Golden State in the first period was the most they allowed under Steve Kerr's watch. Memphis 77 points after just two quarters were the most they have scored this season.

The latest Draymond Green podcast came out just hours before tip-off. In that episode, the Warriors' defensive lynchpin had this to say, among other things:

"If you have four rings, sure talk a lot more. Four All-Stars? You'll probably talk a bit more. Defensive Plyaer of the Year? You for damn sure would tak more. Two Olympic Gold medals? You definitely would be talking because that meant you beat Team USA, and we all know how that goes."

After trying to get into Draymond Green's head in the second quarter, Dillon Brooks tried the same tactic on Steph Curry. Unlike Green, the superstar point guard calmly took Brook's trash-talking in stride.

Dillon Brooks had the last laugh on Draymond Green tonight

The Golden State Warriors tried to mount a comeback but the Memphis Grizzlies had an answer for each of their rallies. Without the suspended Ja Morant, the Grizzlies impressively managed to keep the defending champs at bay.

After the game, Dillon Brooks had a message for Draymond Green:

“Thank you. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. You should give the mic to Draymond, then will talk about me... Make him keep talking about me so I can play better.”

Brooks also added that it's very "cute" for Green to keep on vlogging and talking on his podcasts.

Memphis' most disliked player played a team-high 35 points tonight and finished with 14 points, six assists, and four rebounds. He was just 1-7 from behind the arc, but made it for it with his hustle and defensive intensity.

Brooks also showed off his versatility on defense, something he shares with Draymond Green. He took on Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and even Kevon Looney on switches.

Dillon Brooks blocked Curry's corner three in the second quarter and let the two-time MVP hear what he had to say. For tonight, it was mainly the short-handed Grizzlies beating the Warriors. Brooks was crucial for Memphis in getting that outcome.

The two teams will meet again on March 18 in San Francisco.
