Former NBA star Jeff Teague made a comparison to the Kendrick Lamar-Lil Wayne feud. In a clip from Teague's show, uploaded on Tuesday, "Club 520 Podcast," he and his co-hosts, DJ Wells and B Hen, discussed the spat between the two artists, which escalated following the release of Lamar's album on Nov. 22, "GNX."

In one of the tracks, Lamar rapped "Wacced Out Murals," where he took a dig at the veteran rapper. The song included the lines "Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down."

This prompted a response from Wayne, who reacted to the new song. On Saturday, the New Orleans native asked X (formerly Twitter) why he was mentioned in the song.

"Man wtf I do?!" Wayne said. "I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love"

This led Teague and his crew to discuss which of the two rappers was better. B Hen compared Lil Wayne to former NBA player Dell Curry. According to him, Curry can still knock down shots from deep.

"Like a n***a that can shoot, like Dell Curry can still shoot a basketball," B Hen said (3:37).

Teague, on the other hand, compared Lamar to Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. The former NBA champion pointed out that while Dell can still shoot, the all-time leader in 3-pointers is on another level.

"But he can't outshoot Steph [Curry]. Both was elite at your time. Wayne's still elite, but Wayne elite on some G s**t, like OG s**t," Teague said. "When he get on a n***a track, it's like, 'Wayne still got it.' Kendrick like burying n****s. Like, 'I buried Joe Young, like you can't even shoot with me.'"

NBA fans speculate the Warriors will win the championship because of Kendrick Lamar

Since 2015, the Warriors have won the NBA championship each time Lamar releases an album. Golden State won in 2015 when "To Pimp a Butterfly" was released. Curry and the group won again in 2017 and 2018 when "Damn" and "Back Panther: The Album" were released, respectively. Their fourth title came in 2022 when Lamar released "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers."

SportsCenter highlighted the superstitious possibility on X that they might win again now.

Given the Warriors' hot start to the 2024-25 season, the pattern with Lamar's album could come to fruition.
