Despite have a lower ranking among his high school class, Bronny James is still getting love in NBA circles. This could be in part because of who his father is.

In a recent 2024 NBA mock draft, Bronny was selected tenth overall by the Orlando Magic. The class doesn't have much hype yet, but it appears the oldest son of LeBron James is finally getting respected as a lottery-level talent.

“James has earned his spot in lottery conversations…developing into arguably the best perimeter defender in his high school class while making strides in his perimeter shooting and playmaking ability.”

Bronny being mocked so high could have to do with some of LeBron's comments from over the summer. The LA Lakers star said he wants to play with his sons in the NBA and will sign wherever they end up being drafted. It's worth mentioning that his contract is set to expire the same summer that Bronny will be drafted.

No matter what the reason is, Bronny James is already building a lot of positive momentum as he gets closer to turning pro. Barring a catastophy next year, it looks like he will end up being a high draft pick down the road.
