What happened between Phoenix Suns and forward Jae Crowder and why is he inactive while being available for trade: All you need to know

The Phoenix Suns find themselves in an interesting position after having one of the most disappointing ends to a season that an NBA team has ever had. Their game 7 collapse against the Dallas Mavericks is going to go down as one of the worst collapses in NBA history after winning the most games in the NBA during the regular season.

It's unfortunate the way that everything played out, but Dallas Mavericks superstar Luca Doncic has continued to show why he can beat anybody in all of basketball nearly by himself.

After that loss for the Phoenix Suns, many players started to express their worries about the team's future and what they're going to look like in the coming years. One of those players in particular happened to be DeAndre Ayton. Ayton did re-sign with the Phoenix Suns, but not before he signed with the Indiana Pacers.

Another guy that is currently not playing and has requested a trade is Jae Crowder. It's reported that Jae Crowder is interested in a trade because the Phoenix Suns decided to start Cam Johnson to open up this season.

Considering that Johnson is only 26 years old and has shown the ability to hit the three-point shot at an elite level, shooting over 42% from 3-point range a season ago, it makes sense why Phoenix went in this direction. Now, with the possibility of Jae Crowder not playing for the Phoenix Suns, there are some more questions that have to be answered.

When Will Jae Crowder Return?

We don't know yet when Jae Crowder is going to return to a basketball court for us to watch, but it should be sometime in the near future as Phoenix is likely trying to find a trade partner as the days go on. Shams Charania reported the following:

"In addition to the Hawks, the Suns have recently been engaged in talks with the Bucks on a potential Jae Crowder trade, sources said. Milwaukee has registered interest in the veteran forward who has remained away from the Suns’ organization as both sides work toward a trade. Miami is also believed to be among the current suitors for Crowder, according to league sources."

There are a few different options that could happen here for Jae Crowder and the Phoenix Suns, but they're likely going to decide on that with whatever return they can get.

The best return is the one that they're going to take and there are some interesting pieces from all three of those teams that they could decide to take. Miami does have young shooters that could come over to Phoenix and help their team out, and the Milwaukee Bucks do also have a young player in Jordan Nwora who could possibly flourish in a different role. The Atlanta Hawks also have some trade pieces that could be interesting for the Phoenix Suns, but maybe a few less than these other guys.
