LaMarcus Aldridge’s sponsorships and career earnings breakdown

Although LaMarcus Aldridge was a standout with the Portland Trail Blazers, he didn’t start making upwards of $15 million until his last season with the team. In total, Aldridge earned $84.6 million from contracts during his run with the Portland Trail Blazers, before then earning $125.1 million during his time with the San Antonio Spurs. Late in his career, during his two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets he pulled in a total of $3.5 million.

In addition, Aldridge managed to secure some sponsorships during his sixteen-year career. During his time in Portland he became a spokesperson for Vita Coco, a coconut water brand that has become a staple in the United States. In addition, he also had a deal with Nike, as well as Jordan Brand.

As he revealed at the time, however, it was difficult securing sponsorships while playing for the Trail Blazers. He was quoted by OregonLive:

"I think it's maybe more difficult (in the Northwest) to find different avenues to market and things like that. But I think eventually you find opportunities. I mean, they wanted somebody in the Northwest. And it just worked out for us, (and) the same way with Nike."

Aldridge said that his deal with Nike "expires in September but he was likely to re-up."

"I've been with them over a decade. I don't see that changing"
