Jackson's contract with the Clippers was worth $11.2 million this season. After negotiating a buyout with the Hornets, Charlotte agreed to pay him for the remainder of his contract. Jackson's base salary with the Denver Nuggets is $918,516. His cap hit is set at $580,373, according to Spotrac.

The Nuggets have put together one of the deepest rosters in the league. Jackson is a valuable addition and proven commodity. He makes life easier for starting point guard Jamal Murray.

In 52 games this season, Reggie Jackson has averaged 10.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists. During that span, Jackson shot 41.8% from the field and 35.0% from 3-point range. He was in the final year of his contract with the Clippers, which made him a desirable trade asset. The 32-year old will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Reggie Jackson's NBA career

Jackson was originally selected 24th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2011 NBA Draft. After spending three-plus seasons in OKC, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons on February 19, 2015.

He played four-plus seasons with the Pistons from 2015-2020. During his tenure, he averaged 16.2 points, 5.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds. Jackson was waived by the Pistons in February 2020 after he negotiated a buyout with the franchise.

The Clippers signed him for the remainder of the season. He re-signed with them that offseason and then inked a two-year extension on August 11, 2021.
