Sam Hauser is a sophomore in the NBA playing for the Boston Celtics. Hauser played for the Celtics as a rookie and signed under a two-way deal last season. The young sharpshooter proved to the franchise that he deserves a spot on the team. As a result, he is signed to a three-year deal with Boston worth $5.65 million.

Sam Hauser is expecting to make $1.63 million this season. Come the 2023-24 season, he's expecting to receive $1.92 million. Hauser then has a club option that he must exercise if he still wants to play for the Boston Celtics in the 2024-25 season. If the shooter pushes through, he's going to generate about $2.09 million. He will then become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.

Sam Hauser was initially signed by the Boston Celtics last season when the young shooter ended up becoming undrafted. He didn't exactly have a remarkable rookie season, but Boston decided to keep him in the lineup. It seems like it was a smart choice on the Celtics' end as Hauser has played a more vital role for the team this year.

Hauser is currently averaging 6.4 points and 2.6 rebounds, a significant improvement compared to last year's 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds. During his rookie year, he only managed to score a total of 70 points in both the regular season and the playoffs. Despite his underwhelming numbers, the Boston Celtics took a chance on him and are now reaping the rewards of their patience.

As of Tuesday night, when the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Celtics 131-125, Sam Hauser has racked up 356 total regular season points. He can still push it to over 400 points considering there are still a few games left in the season. Given how the Celtics are expected to make a deep playoff run this year, Hauser could possibly bring up his total points to 500, if he's awarded playing time by then.

Hauser has proven himself worthy of a three-year contract with the team. So far, he has scored at least 20 points on two occasions. He's also having the best scoring month of his career this February. Hauser averaged 12.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in his last seven games. The kid who went undrafted last season has suddenly grown into a solid role player for the Celtics.
