Skip Bayless has aimed a dig at LA Lakers superstar LeBron James after the latter missed three layups against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. Bayless, one of James' biggest critics, took to Twitter to question whether Father Time is finally catching up with 37-year-old LeBron.

"LeBron has already missed 3 layups vs Denver," wrote Bayless.
"I thought he owed his team after his no-show the other night at Denver??? What up, King??? Father Time kicking your tail?"

Bayless referenced James' comments after the loss to Denver in the reverse fixture on October 26. LeBron finished that game with only 19 points, shooting 38.1% from the floor. He also committed eight turnovers.

The four-time MVP said he played more as a playmaker and wasn't aggressive enough.

James didn't get off to a good start in Sunday's game. He scored only nine points on 4-of-12 shooting in the first half. The Lakers' co-captain smoked simple opportunities at the rim, giving Skip Bayless a golden chance to have a go at him.

LeBron James overcomes rough start to propel LA Lakers to first win of the season

LeBron James and the LA Lakers broke their losing streak to start the season with a 121-110 win over the Denver Nuggets at home. The Lakers produced a near-perfect second half, scripting a much-needed victory. LeBron James led the Lakers with 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

He dropped 17 of his 26 points in the second half, shooting 6-of-10 from the floor. Meanwhile, his co-stars Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook also delivered big-time performances to get the job done. Davis managed 23 points and 15 rebounds while playing with a back injury.

Westbrook thrived in his second start off the bench, scoring 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, shooting 50% from the field. The Lakers overcame their shooting woes, making 13 of 30 shots (43.3%) from deep. They maintained their intensity defensively for yet another game, contributing to their win.

LeBron James and the LA Lakers emphatically overcame their third-quarter woes as well. The Lakers fell behind by eight points with just under five minutes left in the quarter. However, they turned the switch, going on a 21-5 run, taking a 11-point lead into the final frame.

The Lakers managed to stay ahead in the clutch with some excellent two-way showing. The move to get Westbrook off the bench seems to be working for LA. It helped them get through LeBron James' rough first half.

The Lakers will hope Westbrook can continue to thrive in his new role, as that could be pivotal for them to turn things around.
