Miami Heat v Sacramento Kings
LeBron James highest-scoring game in NBA

Last week, LeBron James made history as he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time leading scorer. Following this historic achievement, it's time to take a deep dive into his scoring numbers.

Despite the fact that many don't see LeBron as a scorer, he's had multiple occasions where he's put up big numbers. His best scoring barrage came during the 2013-14 season when he was with the Miami Heat.

In a matchup against the then-Charlotte Bobcats, LeBron totaled 61 points in 41 minutes. To this day, it's the most he's scored in a single game.

What was the full box score for LeBron James during his 61-point outing?

Part of why LeBron was able to have this huge night was because he put up an absurd amount of shots. Out of his 33 attempts, he made 22. On top of this great efficiency, LeBron also stepped out and connected on eight of 10 3-point attempts.

Outside of his scoring, LeBron also tallied seven rebounds and four assists. The Heat went on to beat the Bobcats that night by 17: 124-107 on March 3, 2014.

That was the last of the regular-season meetings between the two teams. But Miami and Charlotte met in the first round of the playoffs, with the Heat taking a four-game sweep.
