When Tristan Thompson took a shot at Lamar Odom for commenting on Khloé Kardashian’s IG post: “Play if you want different results”

Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian have had a rocky up-and-down relationship over the years. After rumors began flying in late 2016 that the pair were a couple, they then began planning for the arrival of their daughter in 2018. Despite that, things took a turn for the worse several days before her birth when a cheating scandal went viral.

With reports flying that Thompson was cheating with several women, it wasn't entirely shocking when he allegedly cheated again the following year. At that point, the pair broke up, with many confident that Kardashian had finally had enough. At the end of the year, however, the two were back together once more.

Since then, there has been plenty of on-again, off-again drama between the couple, with a brief engagement recently being called off last year. Despite all the conflict and drama between the two, there was one time Thompson took to social media to defend Kardashian from her ex, Lamar Odom.

For all of their relationship drama, the two and their two children seem close enough that Thompson is willing to go to bat for Kardashian. Thompson's comments directed at Odom drew some controversy given all the former NBA star had been through over the years.

What Tristan Thompson was well aware of when Lamar Odom commented on Khloe Kardashian's post was that the two had a very close past. After meeting in the summer of 2009, the pair married shortly after. The timing coincided with Odom's back-to-back NBA Finals wins in 2009 and 2010.

After being married for several years, Odom began a very public spiral that saw his addiction battle become incredibly publicized. The situation came to a head in 2015 when Odom was found unconscious in a brothel after reportedly going on a bender lasting several days.

After being taken to a hospital, it was discovered that he had several heart attacks and a reported 12 strokes. As popular musician Kanye West revealed years later, Odom had to learn to walk all over again. At the time of Odom's overdose, he and Kardashian were in the midst of a divorce. Given the situation, Kardashian wound up withdrawing the request for divorce until Odom was back on his feet.

Although the former two-time NBA champion and Kardashian wound up splitting up, it didn't stop Odom from commenting on Kardashian's picture in 2021. Unsurprisingly, that didn't sit too well with Thompson, who used Odom's past drug usage against him while referencing his near-fatal incident in 2015.

Currently, Kardashian is dating neither man, although she recently now has a second child with Thompson via a surrogate. Despite being split up, the two reportedly co-parent together in an effort to put their children first. Odom also recently wished Kardashian well after watching her shed tears during the premiere of a recent episode of the "Kardashians."
