The Golden State Warriors head to the Dream City to take on the Washington Wizards at the Capital One arena on Monday (Nov. 4). The trip marks the second of their five-game road trip. They secured an OT dub against the Houston Rockets and with Steph Curry being a game-time decision ahead of their matchup against the Wizards, the Warriors will hope to make it 2-0 before taking on the defending champs Boston Celtics later this week.
The Wizards are 2-5 so far this season. The game against the Warriors will be their first against a Western Conference opponent having played the Cleveland Cavaliers, Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat. They come off a loss to Jimmy Butler and Co. and now host a belligerent Golden State side that's played quality ball so far this season to go 5-1.

Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards head-to-head
The Golden State Warriors and the Wizards have squared off 204 times in the regular season with the former leading 118-86. The Bay Area side also had the best of Washington in their two matchups last season, winning both games comprehensively.
The two teams have had contrasting runs last season. The Warriors failed to make the playoffs despite their 46-36 win record, finishing 10th in the regular-season standings. The Wizards had a worse run, looking like a side that never was in contention to make the playoffs. They ended their season 15-67 and in 14th place, one rung above the Detroit Pistons who had an equally disappointing campaign.
A lot has changed for the Warriors since. They lost Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in the summer. They added Buddy Hield, De'Anthony Melton, and Kyle Anderson to beef up their offense to fill the void Thompson left. They have Jonathan Kuminga who continues to sizzle despite the contract drama that continues to make headlines.
The Wizards are not a team that appears to be playoff contenders as they continue to rebuild around Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole. Another poor run leading up to the trade deadline could also see the forward moved to a different franchise. For now, though, it will be a contest that sees both teams eyeing for a win.
