Brandon Miller has been one of the most impressive freshmen in college basketball this season. The Alabama Crimson Tide star is trending as a potential Top-3 selection in the 2023 NBA draft.

Miller has found himself in the news for the wrong reasons as of Tuesday morning. Earlier this season, Alabama teammate Darius Miles was charged with capital murder. In a recent testimony, it was revealed that Miles had texted Brandon Miller to bring the gun that was used in the incident.

According to reports, authorities have not found any information that would put Miller towards being arrested. Alabama head coach Nate Oats even went on to say that Miller was simply "in the wrong spot at the wrong time."

Brandon Miller is arguably the top freshman in college basketball during the 2022-23 season. The 6’9” wing is considered by many to be a favorite to go somewhere within the first four picks of this year’s draft.

Miller has the tools to be a potential star at the next level. He’s a smooth shooting wing with great size who can get red-hot from well-beyond NBA range. There’s also been some fascinating playmaking upside to Miller’s game throughout the season.

While Miller has not been charged with anything in the investigation, it won’t stop the media from drawing plenty of questions toward the Alabama program. Reports have stated that Miller communicated with the authorities and there was nothing to charge Miller with.

Miller is having one of the best seasons in college basketball this year. He’s averaging 18.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 45.9% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.
