Dorys Madden and Julius Erving started dating while the latter was still married to his first wife, Turquoise Erving. Dr. J had two kids with Madden before they tied the knot, Jules and Julietta. Dorys and Dr. J have a 19-year age difference, but they have worked through the age gap and lived a happy married life.

Erving and Madden started dating after the former's relationship with his ex-wife, Turquoise, was derailed following the unfortunate death of their son Cory in 2000 when he was 19. Cory went missing for weeks until it was discovered that he had died after drowning in a pond he drove his car into.

After that, Dr. J divorced Turquoise and had two more children with Dorys. In 2008, he married Madden. Apart from the details mentioned above, little is known about Madden's personal life and her marriage to Erving.

He had multiple kids while being married to his first wife, Turquoise Erving, who had four kids with him during their 31-year-old marriage. Erving's first child outside of marriage was sportswriter Samantha Stevenson. They had a baby girl named Alexandra Stevenson, who became a professional tennis player.

The knowledge of his firstborn child outside marriage was made public after Alexandra made it to the 1999 Wimbledon Finals. Dr. J provided financial support to Alexandra but never developed a relationship with her. They eventually met in 2008 and developed their relationship.
