As of the time of this writing, LaVar Ball has been married to his wife Tina Ball for 25 years. The couple got married sometime in 1997, the same year their eldest son Lonzo Ball was born.

Who is LaVar Ball’s Wife?

United States native Tina Ball has played basketball professionally in the past. The surname Ball is well-known among NBA and basketball aficionados. LaVar Ball and his sons have always been in the media, but Tina Ball, a well-known basketball player in her own right, has long shied away from coverage outside of the realm of the family business.

Tina Ball is turning 56 years old this coming December 11. Despite her old age, she is surprisingly still physically active and fit. Standing at 6-foot-1, Tina was an amazing athlete during her schooling years. She caught the attention of LaVar Ball because of her talents on the hardwood court. According to sources, both LaVar and Tina were playing basketball at the time they started dating.

Bob Slatinsky, the father of Tina, was fiercely protective of his daughter. Despite the challenges he had to face dating her, LaVar was unfazed by her father's strictness. He spent time with Tina, making her laugh and showing her how much he cared about her family. LaVar, according to Tina's father, was the one who brought her homework to the hospital when she underwent appendix surgery.

Eventually, Tina and LaVar Ball married in 1997 and had three children. The mother-of-three used to play basketball with her sons while growing up. As the years went by, each of them started beating her on the court. The three boys expressed their gratitude and is thankful for having a mom like Tina. She is referred to as being enthusiastic and similar to her husband in some ways.

Tina sadly had a stroke in February 2017 and was hospitalized for two and a half months. Her family was tremendously impacted, and they found it difficult to watch her go through what she did. Every night after training, her husband and kids would frequently pay her a visit. LaVar claimed at the time that Tina couldn't speak but always had a pleasing expression on her face.

After Tina suffered a stroke, her family was informed that she might pass away, turn into a vegetable, or never be able to walk again. Thankfully none of these things occurred because she survived, awakened, and was able to walk once more.
