As of the 2022-23 NBA season, the Milwaukee Bucks are currently owned by five people. Four of them are major owners, while the other one only has minor ownership rights to the team. According to sources, the Bucks were previously owned by Herb Kohl, who sold the organization sometime in 2014.

With that said, here's a breakdown of all the Milwaukee Bucks owners today.

The Milwaukee Bucks have five owners

According to HITC, Marc Lasry, Wes Edens, and James Dinan are the three Milwaukee Bucks owners with the largest stakes. Mike Fascitelli is the fourth major investor, however, he is a smaller shareholder.

They all became the owners of the Bucks when Herb Kohl sold the team in 2014. In 2018, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers became a minor owner for the NBA team.

Here's everything you need to know about all five Milwaukee Bucks owners.

5. James Dinan

James Dinan founded the money management company York Capital Management in 1991 after receiving his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. James is still the company's CEO and chairman. According to sources, Dinan has an estimated net worth of $2.2 billion.

4. Wes Edens

Wes Edens, the company's largest shareholder, formed Fortress Investment Group in 1998 and is still its chairman today. Edens became a billionaire thanks to Fortress when the company went public back in 2007. His estimated net worth is $1.2 billion, according to Forbes.

3. Mike Fascitelli

Michael "Mike" Fascitelli, a businessman, is reported to be worth $71.5 million. Fascitelli joined Goldman Sachs' real estate department in 1985 after receiving his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. The Investment Committee of Cadre is now presided over by Fascitelli.

2. Marc Lasry

Lasry is reportedly worth $1.8 billion, therefore it is hardly surprising that he could afford to invest in the NBA's champion squad. Outside of his ownership of the Bucks, Lasry serves as CEO of Avenue Capital Group, a company he founded with his sister Sonia in 1995.

Marc is a very accomplished politician. He is a generous supporter of the Democratic Party, which may contribute to the team's involvement in current social issues. Before becoming a billionaire, Lasry spent his early years in Morocco before relocating to the United States at the age of seven with his family.

1. Aaron Rodgers

The Bucks revealed in 2018 that Rodgers had taken a 1% minority ownership share in an NBA team, making him the first active NFL athlete to do so. It is unknown at this time if he has sold that share. Having said that, it's unclear whether he still reported to the Packers in 2021.

In the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals, Rodgers and teammate David Bakhtiari engaged in a drinking competition that was recorded on the main scoreboard. Rodgers had previously been seen at Milwaukee Bucks games, notably during that memorable exchange.
