Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are trying to return to the NBA Finals and win the championship next year, but the 2024-25 NBA season isn't off to the best start for the Slovenian guard. The Mavs are facing the Miami Heat on Sunday, trying to improve to 10-7 amid a season with health issues that have prevented Jason Kidd from playing a fully healthy starting five in the past couple of weeks.
Dallas fans won't be able to see their idol tonight as Doncic is out for this matchup. The five-time All-Star guard is expected to miss "some time" due to a wrist injury. Doncic explained on Thursday that he started feeling bothered in the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
"I don't know, honestly. I started feeling it in the first quarter, but then it just got worse, but nothing serious," Luka Doncic said, per Sportskeeda's reporter Grant Afseth.
